We’ve introduced a new feature to Pipelines which allows you to add ‘dynamic’ data filters. The dynamic data filters can be applied to any column in your data set to filter data based on one of the following:
- Widget Value
- Current User Name
- Workplace Name
- Page Name
- Community for Page
This allows you to create a Pipeline (and therefore a Widget) which can be copied to many other pages yet will always show relevant data – no modification needed.
In the example below we have created a Sabisu Table which pulls through all Sabisu Actions with a simple filter added to show the ones assigned to the current user. To do this the Current User Name function is added to filter the Assigned column.
The widget value function can be used in conjunction with the new Dropdown template which will allow you to filter Widgets based on the item selected in the dropdown. This is useful for any pages where it would be time-consuming to set up multiple pages, or new pages in response to a changing dataset.
An example might be portfolio reporting pages which need to adapt to new projects being initiated or closed.
In the example below we have chosen to filter a table of Actions based on a ‘Category’ drop down.
We’re always interested in hearing from you with any comments or suggestions, feel free to get in touch.
