This is a great example of the ‘shared experience’ in action; we both share a view of evolving situation, yet we have our personal data and tools too – we experience it from our own perspective. This is a far better solution than, say, Steve taking over my screen by sharing his and depriving me of my preferred tools and data.
The video chat feature is embedded into the platform and is enabled on a per-customer basis, so control resides with local IT. It’s all conducted over standard HTTP and HTTPS protocols so there’s no special config needed.
